Exhibit Development
In recognition of author, Booth Tarkington's 150th birthday, we wanted to put together an exhibit about him for the Indianapolis Special Collections Room. Initially, we had several weeks to complete this project, but it was accelerated greatly due to a visit to the building by some special guests. That meant that I pulled this together in a total of 8 days!
There are definitely aspects of his life and work that I would have liked to devote more energy and space to exploring, had there been more time. The intention behind this exhibit was to emphasize Tarkington's connection to his hometown and showcase his work without ignoring criticism or putting him completely on a pedestal.
The exhibit ran from its opening in July through most of 2019.
